Last year at the request of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee, the statewide recycling program administered by the DNR underwent an audit by the Legislative Audit Bureau (LAB). Included in the recommendations from the LAB was to review and update NR 544, the administrative code that oversees the Effective Recycling Programs for Responsible Units. Prior to undertaking this important rulemaking, the DNR is interested in stakeholder feedback on the existing program. YOUR input is needed prior to DNR developing the scope statement and beginning the formal rulemaking process later this year.
